Method

  1. 1

Prepare the pumpkin spice syrup if making it from scratch: simmer the brown sugar, water, cinnamon sticks and pumpkin pie spice for 10–15 minutes, then strain. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. The card also allows store-bought syrup.

  2. 2

Prepare the glass: drizzle caramel sauce inside a martini glass. Optionally rim the glass with crushed graham crackers or brown sugar.

  3. 3

Make the cocktail: in a cocktail shaker, combine vodka (or coffee liqueur), pumpkin purée, pumpkin spice syrup, caramel sauce, cold brew coffee and Irish cream. Add ice and shake well for 15–20 seconds until smooth and chilled.

  4. 4

Strain into the prepared martini glass.

  5. 5

Top with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel, a sprinkle of pumpkin spice and a few coffee beans if desired. Sip and savor!

  6. 6

For the alcohol-free variation, shake the cold brew concentrate, pumpkin caramel syrup, alcohol-free vanilla or Irish-cream-style coffee creamer, cream or oat cream, pumpkin pie spice and ice vigorously, then strain into a chilled glass.
